Yours looks ready to plant out now.

    Here's a video about picking spinach https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2rc0tWqpxU

  • Thanks for the response,

Would I be OK leaving it in this pot or would I need to move it to a larger one.

Planting is a non starter as I've got very little garden space.

    Cheers :-)

It will need a larger pot if you can't plant it out in the garden.

I would use a mixture of two parts  loam based John Innes No 2 compost  and one part multi-purpose compost similar to the one it's planted in.

Is this the only spinach plant you have?  One plant does not yield much on its own.

  • Thanks for this,

I've got over 30 planted in varying sized pots.

I feel a trip to the supermarket is in order to buy more pots :-)

What about planting them into tomato growbags ... cheaper than buying loads of pots ...

  • Once again it's the space,

I'll get some bigger pots today and replant them, hopefully they will take off from there. I'm using ASDA professional multi purpose compost with MiracleGro all purpose food.

I'm growing them for my pet rabbits so need to know how big the plant will get and when I can start to harvest the leaves :-)
