Do you know for a fact that there is no drainage? Is it concrete at the bottom ?

if you know nothing then read read and read some more. Go to charity shops or your library or even buy some gardening books. Talk to people at work and find the keen gardeners. Not only will you learn but always the chance for free plants. Walk round your local garden centre and look at plants and read the labels  .

The packet of seed you sowed should have told you what kind of seed they were, whether annuals or perennials. I would think they are annuals so will only flower this year.
