Jolly hot here but there's a strong easterly breeze to keep me cool - ish. I should be sanding furniture outside but can't cos it's Ascension and no power tools allowed on public holidays so I'm pottering with pots of tulips, recuperating compost for the heap and bulbs for re-planting in beds where they can "sink or swim" according to their wishes. Sowing some beans too and having a bit of a tidy up of pots and tools and trays.

Hello , recently had a few days in Tenby and notice lots of shops , cafes , bars , hotels & resturants had posters up for staff wanted , it was noticeable !
In Lincoln at moments both had haircuts and it is hot ,☀️ long may it continue , starting to paint Hall , stairs and landing tomorrow ?
I'm home Went straight from Chelsea to a work conference - will be glad to sleep in my own bed tonight
Had a fabulous day out at Chelsea. Bought primulas from Hosta's lovely friends(and had a nice chat too). CBs garden was my favourite, along with the poets one and the japanese one with the amazing waterfall. Maltese quarry left us all cold - noticeable that very few people crowding round to look at it ?
Floral marquee was brilliant, and lots of laughs had with my sisters .....its the most amazing place to people watch and eavesdrop ....although not really eavesdropping once the braying types get going
Worked an extra hour today so I can finish early tomorrow. I want to get the house tidied and neat for his lordship return.
Annoyingly Saturday says rain due so looks like I'd best get my duvet in the wash early on Friday to go out while I'm at work. Mind you it's so warm I'm sure if I put it in now it's be dry by tonight.

a) that's half our roof too
b) danger involved
c) privacy when you're trying to relax in the garden and there's two children stood there shouting hello at you and upsetting the dog
I'm really not happy at the idea of them looking in to the house especially a bedroom window. I think I will have to have a chat with their mum if they carry on.
If mum isn't bothered I'll climb up there myself and start putting flower pots up there! She'll soon realise when a stranger has access into your bedroom window and full view of the gardenthat is normally quite private it's not terribly enjoyable.
Not sure whether you have seen it, but after the 1 minute silence in Manchester, this morning, the crowd burst into a spontaneous rendition of the Oasis song, Don't Look Back in Anger.
Very moving.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
I've had an unstable knee for 20+ years since an injury. It used to sort of 'give way' from time to time but it's not been a problem for a couple of years and I'd sort of forgotten about it. However, I was out in the garden this afternoon when i just turned wrongly and my knee gave way and I fell flat on my face in the middle of the Hesperis matronalis. Not only is that looking a but squashed but my knee aches like heck and I've sprained my ankle and it's very painful.
I lay in the flowers for about 10 minutes until the pain subsided then crawled on my hands and knees into the house and onto the sofa.
I had been moving the sprinkler ... it's a good job I'd switched it off, or I'd have been laying there being watered!!!
OH is home and he's put an ice pack on my ankle and given me some Solpadeine and is getting on with making the supper.
I was going to plant the runner beans this evening ............... bu$$er, bu$$er, bu$$er

I've hung the washing out on the line ... it's virtually steam drying
This afternoon the sun will be over the house and there'll be a bit of shade on the terrace ... I'll go out again then.

Pdoc - I would say naive and maybe just a bit blinded by political bias. The February figures were also down and were reported in the Guardian but then there wasn't an election looming so no fuss - https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/feb/23/net-migration-to-uk-falls-by-49000-after-brexit-vote

Clari, mother and children need to be told, in no uncertain terms, that such behaviour is NOT acceptable.
