Looking great Victoria and guessing you are probably right about who the fly tippers could be
glad you sound more cheerful and I would hope the fellow allotmenteers were decent and not vandalising your plot. I will keep everything crossed for you
Thanks Beau's Mum, am quite cheerful/positive about it now The rubbish and lazyness got me down at times, I don't know why people would put so much effort into making things more ugly doesn't make sense to me.
A friend at work gave me some seed pots and I've got some due from the gw offer so looking forward to potatoing at the weekend
I've been following your wonderful posts for a while Victoira and just settled down with my coffee this morning to see what you've been up to and really just wanted to say that I think you're an inspiration! I totally would have jacked it in by now but you've shown such resilliance and passion regarding your 'llotment plot i just think it's amazing!
Anyways, hats off to you, it's looking amazing, I look forward to seeing what you get up to next!
Had a thought Victoria why don't you put up a neighbour hood watch notice and maybe see if local community support officers have some kind of sign they can give you to put up to make people think all is being watched
Ditto Missy Krissy! Yes Victoria is an inspiration and just like you I love to sit with a coffee and catch up on the news at the allotment. Her energy and enthusiasm is enviable. Think I'm one of the those fair weather gardeners most of the time...not any more! Reading Vic's adventures has inspired me to get up and out and just get on with it too! Looking forward to reading many more posts.
Wow I think you guys are too kind but it is extremely encouraging to hear your words of support? I hope you are not disappointed when it's finished!
Spent a few hours up lotment today, took a box of Maris Peer seed potatoes that I was given. They had chitted (?) while still in the net so the awkward ones I planted on their sides. The Charlotte pots I got off the GW offer are in an egg box so hopefully the shoots won't end up as twisty.
I gave up with my one previous potato growing experiment as they were in bags and I wasn't available to look after them...so hoping I've done this right.
Due to some measuring mischief where I realised I wouldn't be able to mound the earth so close to the paths the rows are closer together than the instruction I got off the 'net.

Vic, doing very well, I'm really pleased for you. Glad you sorted things out.
Thanks Logan?

Hope all is well when you get to your allotment this weekend Victoria. Your measuring mischief looks good to me
