It's a dunking in the language B3. I had to fine them for breaking into French but forgave them for lapses during the guided walk round Dublin - very informative chappy but heavy on the blarney so hard to understand sometimes. They understood everything about the whiskey tho. Funny that.

Evening all . When Hubby and l first shacked up some of his eating habits and food combinations had me aghast. Tomato or HP sauce liberally squirted over every lovingly prepared meal l presented him with. Not a dainty dollop on the side as l had been taught. He would only eat 'dented peas', tinned to you and l. Cold baked beans often straight out of the tin placed beside his plate if there was no room. He was taught good manners by his mother, but because he got home from work late and starving , was left to reheat his dinner and eat alone. Thus making him half feral in his need to eat quickly. He did improve in his habits in the early years of our marriage, but after 27 years is now reverting to type. Only yesterday l came across him sat on the kitchen worktop with an opened tin of beans, with HP sauce added with a newly opened wholemeal loaf beside him. To answer my quizzical look l got one word "hungry".? .
Lived on baked beans in Uni but rarely eat them now. I think they changed the sauce as I do not remember them being as sweet as they seem now. Thats probably why I don't rush to buy them these days and don't get me started on tinned spaghetti!

P'raps LS's hubby was a cowboy in a former life. Can't imagine a baked bean sandwich but then we hardly eat any bread here. Love a bacon butty tho.
No marzipan here but we do like frangipane which I suppose is odd.
Possum told me she'd seen a celebrity in Namur this week - a famous Belgian blogger apparently.
I don't get celebrity.
Infamous I can understand but not "celebrity" for people who are just actors or singers or famous for being on TV.
Lantana

Muddle-up, l knew you'd understand?
Lantana, cold baked bean sarnies.... sounds messy, does it have to be thick cut off bread so they squish in, or will any old loaf do? ?

You probably had 'own brand' beans back in the uni days Ladybird - they had less sugar - think they had fewer beans too

It's no good - I'm going to have to make slow cooked Boston Baked Beans again very soon

I think I would probably love those Dove - made with the proper beans - and as you mention Boston, do they have a BBQ influence?
