Fidget seems my GW is playing up it won't let me message you I will try tomorrow but I would like to try them think they would like my west facing border....
In a sunny position they grow to about 8ft. The seeds can persist in the soil for a long time. I removed most of the top growth from a phormium which died 2 years ago, and they sprang up. I originally bought a plant 10 years ago. I thought I had removed all the seed heads, but obviously not.
If you send me the address, I will collect some more when it stops raining.

Gardenmaiden, my seeds came this morning as well, Thankyou.
I put some of the scotch thistle seeds on the bird table. They won't tackle the spiky seed heads, but the seeds soon went.
Plenty more coming for anyone who wants them.
