Just a little aside. If anyone wants to put a link on, all you need to do is touch the space bar once and it becomes the link, if not, people have to copy and paste in in the search box which is a bit fiddly on iPads or tablets.

    Morning all,

There's no way to input/amend the author of a thread, it's automatically determined by whoever created the thread. I assure you no attempt at plagiarism is being made here...

If you are a large thread owner (1000+ replies) and wish to author the part 2, please do go ahead. Just drop me a message to let me know once you've created the new one, so I can lock the original (best to do this within office hours, Mon - Fri). Please make sure you include a link back to the original thread as the first post on the new thread.

Here's my list of threads currently in excess - authors please go ahead and start part 2:

    1. Anyone done any gardening today?     Tootles
    2. Camera Corner     David K
    3. HELLO FORKERS     Dovefromabove
    4. It's my birthday     Verdun
    5. New allotment OMG…     Zoomer44

This is an ongoing process, so if you notice your thread going over 1000 replies, the above still applies...

    Thanks guys,

  • Thanks, Nora. I've already emailed Daniel with a view of locking 'Camera Corner' and intend to start a new thread'. I don't have a contact for you, but would be grateful if you would oblige.

  • Yay, does that mean that the Birthday Thread has had a 'birthday'?  It should have a party image

Hortico, we're a pretty mixed bunch and there will always be things in which some are more, and some less interested. Be it cakes, parties, kids, housework, holidays, pets, etc etc.

As has been said, ignore the bits in which you have no interest and contribute to those in which you do.

Nobody expects every forum member to respond to everything they add. Nobody will be offended.

Join in and I'm sure you'll see that we're a nice bunch of folk from all different backgrounds with a huge range of garden sizes, styles, problems, opportunities etc etc.

Hope to see you post soon.

I would like to thank Nora and the team for all the recent work they've put into this website. We have our avatar pics back and problems are being ironed out. Thank you.
