Liz, I would be delighted to have a decent shower of rain - how lovely that your beds got a watering image

  • I'm happy because today we booked a holiday in Tenerife for next January to celebrate OH's 70th birthday. A week of sunshine in January! Right now, I'd prefer to b e here in the UK, with everything springing up in the garden and the hope of summer ahead. Lovely! image

That's good news GG, something to look forward to during winter months & a pick me up ready for action in the spring.

Did you consider asking about the greenhouse next door? We left our last house for a bigger garden & when we said goodbye to our tearful neighbour she said if only she'd known that I wanted more space, we could have used the top half of her garden. Wouldn't have been ideal as I wouldn't have felt it was mine, but we might have stayed longer and not "bitten off" the rundown house we bought. 13yrs and there's still some indoor stuff to do. But, I'm happy as I love my garden.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
