What a lovely pink Bev. What variety is it?

  • It's a red valentine Lizzie. I got it last spring so haven't had an apple off it yet. They are supposed to have red flesh.

Red Valentine, what a good name for a spring sweetheart!

Just right!  I visited Hanbury Hall (Nat. Trust) last Friday and marvelled at their spring display in the parterre which is the biggest I have ever seen.  Over 4000 red and yellow tulips, hundreds of hyacinths, beautiful pulsatillas and their 40 varieties of apples in blossom looked and smelt glorious.  Came home and took more pictures in my owm garden, but I had bought a "Golden Queen" trollius which should be super next spring for my Golden Jubilee Year.
