what a lovely picture,i hope you are well,i have been unable to get onto this blog for quite a while,as been dealing with sad issue with in our family, not a great out come,so now getting back to some kind of ''normal'' life,if ever.
your garden sounds amazing and you really must be a gifted gardener...have you started on your pond yet?
The old carpet is down and covered with the pond liner and the edges anchored. When we had that frightful rain it began to fill up nicely but one night the wind was fierce and my anchoring not good enough so the water drained out the corner where the liner lifted. But i will tackle it again when the cold lifts as all is intact and still there. I hope your garden and the wildlife in it will help you heal after your trauma, Sarah. So lovely to hear from you. i am very well but feeling the cold and so my photos at the moment are coming from the kichen window!
New Brunswick in Canada where my sister lives had a heavy fall of snow this week and hoar frost, so she sent me this beautiful picture of her poplar tree.
Hi Sarah, welcome back. Hope the gardening forum gives you a lift. Must confess since I became a member I have had a lot giggles and titters with some of the things I read.......really does me good! Lovely photos's Marion.
One of my friends from the Alpine Garden Society has just grought me an article for our group newsletter on Hellebores. I took this picture of her and her husband;s garden which is a picture that illustrates a winter wonder indeed.

Fab pictures, happymarion! I'm still glad we don't get all that snow, though.
Welcome back, Sarah. Hope the froum will help you recover and start feeling more positive about life.
These Galanthus elwesii "Colossus" have been delighting me for two months already this winter. Their
parent is behind and very much smaller.
The picottee hellebores still have a month of flowering on them.

Great pics Marion
One more week officially of winter but the flowers in my garden think it is spring despite the cold. The brightest was the deep purple
of the Iris reticulata,
