Charlie, I've grown various dicentra from seed but never tried D. spectablis. I've always cold germinated the ones I have done, sow when ripe, leave outside over winter.
I should have what was formerly called Dicentra macrocapnos seeds later (subject to setting seed, one plant has collapsed) I'll post them on here if they come to fruition

I am drying out delphinium seeds at the moment. mixed colours if any one is interested.PM if you would like some.

Has any one ever grown bleeding heart from seed? Just wanted to know if its worth it or not.
