Yes Gran, got yours all ready to go with the dahlias drying out. Just need to dig up the campanula.

  • Would anybody like to try some aconitum hemsleyanum, blue type?

I've never tried to grow it from seed but I've been collecting bits and it looks fine...

Yes please Victoria. I used to grow this but lost it. Too dry here really but I'll do my best with it. I grew the original from seed, over-winter chill needed but reliable

How strange is that Victoria!! I'd never heard of that aconitum but just been sent seed by a friend also 'Lycoctonum' a cream, they're sown and outside waiting for spring, fingers crossedimage

  • It's been one of those happy plants that just takes off, been really pleased with it, bought a small plant about a year ago. Mine's planted with a Clematis so gets watered quite a bit.

Need another one to cover a patch of fence so I've set some seeds off.

When I was looking at how to sow them, several websites say it is hard to collect good seed, but I'm not sure how to tellimage I've seen the bees on it til quite recently...
