I think Simon won through according to the rules. For Pixie to win that dance off would need a different set of rules ( i.e. the best overall dancer wins through) But what would be the point of the Dance OFF???
I think the fallout from a cheating scandal on such a high profile programme would be so massive that it is highly unlikely to be the case. Not that I have any evidence either way. The BBC has enough enemies in the media, and political circles, it just doesn't bear thinking about.
These days it is impossible to keep this sort of thing under wraps should it be going on?
There is so much controversy over Pixie's exit, such a high profile and hotly tipped competitor the BBC would be mad to got involved in a 'fix'. They have nothing to gain, surely she must bring in good viewing numbers - and if they were ever found out their already badly damaged reputation would be completely ruined. What do they gain by cheating?
It must surely come down to viewers votes and then of course the Dance Off. The rules do say the Dance Off is judged on just that dance. Len had to play by the rules and Simon even to my untrained eye seemed better. Len also has a professional reputation to maintain, he surely wouldn't risk that. To be honest he was doomed if he did and doomed if he didn't.
I did/do think Pixie was a great dancer, very talented, but she did have a bit of an unfair advantage, least Mark & Jake were beginners to start with so their progression is all the more admirable.
At the end of the day it is just a TV programme, light entertainment, and I am sure Pixie will get over it. No idea what we will all have to talk about after it's over - ooh gardening perhaps.

Pixie's cha-cha was awful. It was badly choreographed with unnecessay illegal lifts to boot and her legs were all over the place, like bits of her Charleston, and I thought it the poorest dance on the night and her poorest of the series. And then the idiot pro dancer backchatted Len. Stupid, stupid boy upset the GBP and Len. Bad move. Clever pro dancers show off their partner's good bits and hide the bad. He was too cocky by half and got it wrong. Pixie was good enough to do a great cha-cha without breaking the rules. How could he not have noticed her legs in training?
Simon was better in the dance off and he had a better dance to do thanks to Christina.
I loved Caroline's Argentine tango, including the choice of proper music and excellent choreography and execution. I still find Jake a bit creepy but his Charleston was very good - well choreographed and well danced. Mark did very well with both good posture and good footwork. Ditto Simon and some clever choreography from Christina. I didn't much like Frankie's salsa but then what they do as a show salsa on Strictly is nothing like what we learn in class where it's all about keeping the rhythm with the feet and doing lots of armography and turns and not a shimmy in sight.
I liked One Direction too. Must get that track but for a disco rock, not a Paso!

they were so nice! not at all miffed from being booted off. smiley and happy.
so different to Brendan or James who would've been having a fit.
Remember when Kelly Brook was in a few years ago?she got booted of,i think Brenda did an illegal lift, and then Karen the pro-dancer got told off too when she was first on.
I think Len should have clarified the point early on in the season, and Trent was a bit cheeky, which Len punished him for.
I read an interview in the telegraph today with Pixie, she seemed fine about it all, not fussed at all!
I wish I was! and I shall watch it on Saturday, but it will be the poorer programme without her.
Obelixx, you and I both make one big mistake, we watch from a dancers point of view, the vast majority of the GBP watch from the dancing round your hand bag era with no idea of what they see. Next week should be fire works week as whomever goes the GBP will scream foul, from the purely a show point of view they could be right, at least Darcy and Head Judge Len have the right take on things and are with us, it is now a DANCE competition full stop, Pixie failed, hard luck the dance goes on.

Frank.
i never danced around my handbag I can assure you!
I don't think we really imagine it is an actual dance competition. it is celeb's having a go a dancing and a popularity contest really.
I remember Come Dancing when that was on the tv,now that was a dancing competition! And I didn't like it.
but I was only little..and not a dancer!
