  • Hopefully there are ways to talk about things that don't result in other people feeling singled out and upset.

Sometimes talking about one's own particular experience can seem to someone else like a sweeping generalisation.

This thread was started to provide support to each other, so it really isn't the place to discuss issues that may upset and be divisive.

If people want to discuss religion (in an un-argumentative and un-divisive way) then maybe a separate thread with an appropriate title would allow those who don't wish to join in to avoid it.

Jo hugs please join in as usual.

Surely we are all adult enough to accept that we have different opinions.

The last thing we need is the Mods to feel the need to issue us with a list of subjects we are not allowed to discuss.

  • I do agree that some things discussed on here should be on a different thread. I would be upset if this thread was taken off.

It's been of great support to all of us at times.

    Thank you Kef  ximage

I am feeling very shaken and hurt by a PM I have received from a regular poster on this forum and other remarks he has made. In my PM I said "Verdun, please don't let's discuss religion any more on the forum."  That was because KEF, who started this thread, had asked us not to discuss it here.

I am leaving the forum until I feel less shaky, I know that is a childish reaction but I'm not feeling like an adult at the moment. The forum member is one who has been hurt by others' remarks before and I have always supported him, so I thought he would be more understanding and tolerant of others.
