what is attacking my geraniums & pansies

I have holes all over my pot geranium leaves which I have never seen before, I did not think there could be much that would eat them.  Cannot see beetles or earwigs  Also something is nibbling around the edge of all my pansy petals!  Anybody got any ideas?

Usually slugs on pansies, little green caterpiller on geraniums.

Thank you Lyn & Verdun.  I think I have spotted the culprit on the geraniums today, a dead earwig.  At least its dead.  The leaves have definite holes but the pansy flowers are now frilly edged but the leaves ok.  Its a puzzler

I would be almost certain its slugs on the pansies, can you see any slime trails.

I have never known earwigs on geraniums but keep eye out for little green caterpillar as well. They keep themselves well hidden.

  • Having the same problem myself, and after removing all the well eaten leaves and flowers, just spotted two tiny green caterpillars! Never seen such sorry looking geraniums image

  • My geraniums have rust spots on them and the leaves go dry and crinkly. I have never had this before.

Update on the geraniums.  It was green caterpillars as well, finely located the blighters. Still cannot find whats eating the pansy petals but I have now joined the after dark brigade and much to my husbands amusement and the dog's puzzlement am searching all pots after dark!

I just reported that my geraniums have rust spots, crinkly edges, at the plants center is quite a bit of webbing, spiders or other blight. Why did I  think Geraniums had fewer bug/worm problems than other flowersimage NOW WHAT? Please help me to save them! I'm careful with what I use because I have pets. Thank you for any suggestions.
