I weeded some out the pavement down the street, potted them up and they all died Selfish 'gloves!
The trick is wide pots, gritty compost, grit on top. Sprinkle the seeds on top of that. It imitates a gravel path and works well for small seeds.
Larger seeds won't fall though the grit so they have to be sown before the grit goes on
