What colour would the little buddleias flower as? I've got one that seeded itself and a yellow flowering one that has seen better days. In my old house there was a row of them at the bottom of the garden, from L to R they were coloured fuchsia, white, pale lilac but big flower, pink, dark purple and orange globes. Wished I had taken cuttings, but my gardening knowledge and experience was in its infancy.
If you have any looking for a home, I'd like to have one or two.
The pruning of the yellow globe type is different from the others, they flower on last years wood so if you prune in the Spring you cut off the flowering wood. Prune straight after flowering just lightly, then all the new growth they make through the summer produces next years flowers.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
Ooh yes, I'd like to have those please. And thanks for the info on the yellow one. I've left it because it is in flower long after the other buddleia. Do you still have my address?
