I highly recommend visiting the Old Vicarage, one of the most impressive and interesting gardens I have ever seen
Hope we can organise Beth Chatto visit; if anyone is truly desperate to see it and you live the other side of nowhere, I can put you up for the night, but it will be a long journey home from Beth Chatto as I am just South of King's Lynn.
I would absolutely love to see Christopher Lloyds garden before I get as old as the hills (30), as, in a haphazard way he has been the inspiration behind my rather ad hoc herbacious planting. Nut recommends a coach trip there as it is too far to drive there and back in one day, but I have a lovely old friend in South East London I could stay with and I could tootle off from there I think. (am I right in thinking his garden is in Kent or Sussex?)
