Lovely pics of the robin and her babies Gardeningfantic, it will be nice to watch their progress.

Do the birds drink out of the teasel pond Gary ?

Blazing sunshine ????? We just had a torrential downpour here in Bristol. Will we ever see blazing sunshine again ???

Rain and gloom here too--stuck in a cloud and can't see the water. Too bad, because it's the Canada Day long weekend.

Rain, too bad about that flooding--looks extreme! How fast does it disappear?[when it stops raining, that is]

Nice photos, Gary---may as well make lemonade! My favorite plants in the rain are the Aeoniums.

Hi Inkadog,  it drains away quite quickly when it stops raining but the ground stay soft for weeks unless we get some sunshine which there is a decided lack of at the moment.

Sunshine and showers today but thankfully the Water Board have been and cleared a blockage, it seems that 3 drains were blocked that's why mine wouldn't empty,  they water blasted it and 2 tennis balls an iron bar and big chunks of cardboard later it's free,  the chap said judging by the colour of the muck that came out of the drain it had been blocked for some considerable time,  so I know I shouldn't wish for more heavy rain but I just want to see it all disappear down the drain.

As those living in the UK are probably already aware, the past 3 months have been the wettest April-June for over 100 years, since records began in 1910.

  • Tell me about it! Rain! Rain! Rain! This surley can't go on much longer!
  • Sunshine and cloud 18.3c at the moment slight breeze but it did rain through the night not very heavy  though but the ground is wet enough so desperately need the sun to dry it out.
