I don't think there is a summer heating allowance or cold weather payments for July-something for HMG to look at?

    Is 12% worth a tenner?

6 years ago when the lymics were announced for London I did remark that he would be favourite for gold-have not changed my view

I do not have any witnesses to my statement to confirm-but my full house so nearly came up today-I will call that an unoccupied bungalow

I'm a lumberjack and I'm ok-I sleep all night and I work all dayimage

I will not be putting my tenner on him, so he should win.

The lumberjack I know has slept all afternoon, missed the washing up againimage

That is called timing-or was he just resting their eyes-did he bring his axe?

Well today we are promised a dry day and the good news is all the hosepipe bans have been lifted-including Lottie's and I guess Pam's-now doesn't that make us all feel better?image

Bradley Wiggins and Team Sky hold the yellow jersey in Tour de France. You could put a tenner on Bradley to be holding the jersey on the Champs-Elysees in a fortnight's time. He is actually the bookies favourite, though, personally, I regard it as very risky and shall not be investing. It's just too easy to fall off a bike. The odds are here:

The odds on Bradley winning are 10/11. I think that means that if you invest 10 shillings, and he wins, and you make 1 shilling. I really can't see that as the way to make a fortune.
