Becks, as Bjay says, might make the consistency a little less smooth, but no difference in taste whatsoever. Just use same amount of granulated in the recipe as you would caster sugar. Have fun baking!
Going to see Quartet this evening. I'd like to see Les Mis but my friend isn't feeling all that perky at the moment and doesn't want to go and see something that might make her cry!
Cant do scones at all Becks, sorry. I was going to say if you've a food processor or similar you can 'zap' granulated sugar into finer grains which is all caster sugar is.
