    Sandals should sparkle.

I am a bloke -the only one round here-and blokes do not do sparkly except on the ball gown-I am going for the understated look.

Jenny-is that the bathroom finished?-I have a broken leg story about bathroom decorating that you could use as a health and safety warning

We had 2 Golden Retrievers when I was a gel- both of them preferred Mum's fruit cake to bones, if given a choice. The elder of the 2, also ate blackberries direct off low-growing bushes. Regularly lost her when out picking, not helped by her habit of deciding to go home by herself too!

Daughter had a wobbly about the bread- again! Have got cross, & she knows it & has shut up! J.

Bathroom not finished I'm afraidimage Broken leg warning would do me yes please...The bathroom needs another coat and then all the whites need done. Are you impressed with my decorator talk My hubby came out with that, his decorator pal told him that one that's the gloss work after all the emulsion work is done..This could go on for another couple of weeks!!image I so wish we could afford a decorator. I'm away to watch Alan Titchmarsh give his new programme another go

    Goodmorning all,

The sun is sort of shining (through the clouds) and they have promised us a warm - read humid - day. I'm having my Mum over today so GC's: watch out... here we come!

@Lottie, I don't think so otherwise I would have heard it by now I guess. But hey, you never know, maybe there is something else tomorrow.  image

@Jo, I think you are entitled to keep yourself of the market as long as you're still dealing with this bl..dy cancer. Now I know that you are a strong woman but I know how much you've had to go through cos my Mum's had it too. Only this year she has been declared "cured and free of" after her last check-up but I still notice the difference with theway she was 11 years ago. So take your time to go back to work, please. I really hope there will be a nice job waiting for you. Oh, and you're NOT a grumpy old woman!

Jenny, I wasn't able to take a bath or shower for almost all 2011. OH did everything himself, except for tiling so am veeerrrryy proud of him now. Your time will come.  image

Damp and dismal again-trying hard to look on the bright side of lifeimage

Will go out later and see I can find a suitable replacement for the deceased flowering currant or some cheapo bedding.

Line of Duty excellent last night in my opinion.image

Damp here too, I forgot that it was OAP wednesday, I am not happy, the lovely plants I ordered online for my sister's birthday are 'no longer available', how did that happen?

I have yet to watch LOD, no spoilers please.

I actually enjoyed LYG last night, I think it was because I liked the garden this time.

Watched LYG this morning as well -it was better- not so much treacle-but they do know how to spend money-shows what can be achieved on an unlimited budget

I am not an OAP by the way -I am of a certain age.image

That is annoying about the plants -perhaps you can send her some of the bargain perennials?image

  • kate1123kate1123 Posts: 2,815

What was annoying was that they had a free P&P day which made the plants a good deal, I have promised her flowers this year, which in hindsight was a bad idea.

Sorry I was not saying that you were an OAP, just that you were taking advantage of the day, image So how do they describe the wednesday deal?
