    Choccy - angel.

Pain has stopped for now, moat subsiding. My chooks seem quite happy to potter about in the wet though have the common sense now to shelter in the ranch when it's pelting down.

I feel the urge to read, don't know what, though. S'pose library won't be open for ages now.

Here's how I recognise my car which predates flashing lights, beeps, whistles etc.

    image

I think I may supply him with a new pennant for Christmas as that one looks very faded.

Like that Flo. Always tie a combination of 2 carrier bags- 1 yellow, 1 purple to my car ariel when at shows. Does lower the tone when RHS members day! image Too many small silver cars around otherwise.

We're doing the giant general knowledge cross word in the paper at the mo, much muttering about spellings, answers etc. No alcohol has yet been consumed, but it might make it easier. image J.

Jo, carrier bag idea is great for shows - much more noticeable! Went to Great Dorset Steam Fair a couple of years ago, had to leave earlier than friends & family as dogs had been alone all day. The car park looked like a different planet compared with when I'd parked image  After much searching I had to go back into the showground and get my bro-in-law to help me find it.

Did errands and dog-walked this pm, not really time to go tree-rescuing. Maybe tomorrow.

Oh, joy unconfined, the library was open so I now have some books for the duration image

Yes those bags come out every Tatton show & Malvern too. One yr the car next to mine asked me not to leave before him! image Seriously the looks you get from others, tough- at least it isnt a supermarket bag!

I know I have books for my pressies! image Gardening of course, & have saved my birthday one too. Shame is I dont enjoy reading as much these days since my illness in 01. Almost feels like a type of dyslexia, so now much sympathy with that. I have read new fiction since, but not much. At least I can still re-read old favorites. The thought of sorting that lot out when we do get round to moving....... J.
