Son and family arrived 10 am I was still in my jammies waiting in the queue for shower!
They came down from Leeds and coudn't believe the amount of water (floods) as they came off the motorway here. Thay left at 5.30, probably best thing to do as water is just going to keep rising now.
Just thinking about my last post. It was just meant as a bit of lighthearted banter but thinking about it, it may not be appropriate considering the situation in other parts of the country so apologies if I've upset anyone.
Just on 2cnd coffee of the day. Did the shopping. Have we left something at checkout? Well it's not here, but then did I actually find it & pick up anyway? no idea! Daughter will get for me on way home after a work shift.
What I did do, was stand behind a silver car, same make, model etc panicing that the zapper wasnt working & knew spare one in other bag. It's chucking it down as well. OH the said 'this car got more doors than yours & that one over there keeps flashing.'..........Oh dear.
Torrential out there now. No sign of any birds this morning, poor things.
Daughter got survey report on house- hmm, needs reading carefully & between the lines we think. Back later. J.
Morning all, well ish! Just having a cuppa before setting to to finish the cleaning up. Message from SD to say won't arrive until 2.30, phew!
Jean, you put my decorations to shame. Very wet out, so not sure will get up the garden for my greenery. Been chucking it down all morning, so will a bit dodgy on the steps. Hopefully someone coming to sort them out in the spring.
Still have some pressies to pack, so much to do, so little time.
The hens were pleading to come out-don't usually when it is wet-and are quite happy scratching about-the only unhappy one is Flo who is sheltering under an old brick barbecue-but she is moulting
Jo-it is when you get in the wrong car is when you have to start worrying-saw someone viewing one of the houses up for sale in the sett this morning-the agent could not get the front door open-and they were there for 2 minutes-probably not the best impression
Next door has reduced his by £5000-still no takers
Glyn it will all be kicking off soon-Earl Grey or Darjeeling?
