Ok, so I was all prepared and took photos of the tree last night, ready to upload this morning - but now can't find the camera! Thought I'd put it back in my bag, but obviously not. So my tree picture will appear later!
Also I've now got a second tree to decorate, as I was given the one we had at the tree festival - its a real tree so I shall have to find space for it just so that I get that real tree smell in the house!
It'll turn up Lottie. I'm forever doing things like that. Lost my hairbrush once and found it in the fridge.
Bjay- yes it's Jean. I'm having trouble with everyone's names as well.
That tree nearly caused a divorce ! Hubbie picked it when I was too-ing and fro-ing from daughters. Couldn't believe the size of it ! Still it's done now. I've forgiven him him but next year I'LL be picking the tree.
Just thought on . I haven't taken pic of the little tree in lounge. I like that one - it's only small.
Don't know how big the other one is - must be a good 7 -8 ft.
Been up to Aldi & got the forgotten bits & pieces. Also advised a lady on the aftercare of an orchid! I could've been cross though as she asked could she go in front of me to 'just get it priced'? Then of course she proceeded to buy it & almost my bits as well! Drat!!
Anyway t'was a pressie for a friend. The push-in-q lady was a flower arranger & just tended to grow evergreens in her garden & her friend grew the flowers.
Back now, raining again. The council havent swept any of the fallen leaves off the pavements this yr, so actually quite dangerous walking in places. You just dont know what's beneath.
Coo Bjay, I do need to add to our tree. Just dont tell daughter though.... She's in a better mood now as her mortgage has been approved after the survey of the house. Yet to get full survey report though, so hope no nasty surprises. J.
Lovely trees and decorations everyone - we've all moaned about Christmas but I can see we're all getting into the spirit of things now and love it really . Here are my efforts. The little silver acacia tree has my home made decorations on it (started making them months ago!). The tree itself was a present from South Africa where they make them from scrap metal and wire. Lottie - I was thinking along the same lines as you with St Nicholas for the choc of the day.
Going to the school's concert this evening (well, late afternoon really as I have to be there early) and have to wear something loosely connected to the 60's. Have had a rummage through wardrobe and found a few things so will hope for the best! OH is filming it for them and hopefullythey can raise some money by selling the DVD's. He's going as "aged hippy" - still has some original clothes probably!
Can see we're all busy dashing in and out! Catch you later.
I feel like a party pooper now having no tree to display. You've all done such spectacular jobs Usually I end up with the sad half-price one that no-one wanted. But I'm into rescuing things so that's fine. And they look just as pretty when decorated.
Caz, I love your little acacia tree. That's definitely my sort of 'thing'!
Warming up and drying out after wet dog walk - then I really must get on!!

This is ancient parent tree which is in garden/dinig/kitchen room. View of hills just not there today
I do not know where her decorations have gone so it is mostly tinsel
but it is still a reminder of her
