Oh, Rain, that is so sad about your cat--7 is very young.
I stopped putting tinsel on my tree years ago, but every Christmas it turns up in the corners--I call it Christmas dandruff. Quite dangerous for animals, particularly young ones. Years ago my son had a pet rabbit that would chew on the tree--we had to put chicken wire around it, and it looked quite odd.
Wind warning up overnight, with the possibility of wet snow--its been cold and sunny all day, so the woodpile has been replenished, batteries bought for the book light, and I'm settling in with my glass of wine and my nicotine gum. Still down to 5 smokes a day, but it's not getting any easier.
Those are impressive outdoor decorations Pam. But we wouldn't expect anything less from your garden.
Here's my lanky tree, and boxes of pressies from Santa Amazon. The tree is a bit sparse, and growing at an angle. But it is a real tree growing in a pot, and it does reach the ceiling....
Very dark here this morning, but I think we are in for a reasonable day, missing all the rain and wind forecast for most of the country..
Lovely trees and decorations, I daren't show our outside decs on the forum, they are a bit pathetic, but we try. Out today to Louth, over the Lincolnshire Wolds, it's a lovely drive and some very good specialist shops, so might buy a few treats, depending on the price. Fish and chip lunch
Cheers, catch you later if I get all the rest of the presents wrapped.
The dashing in and out of here by everyone is indicative of the build-up to Christmas. I'm a terrible last-minuter but then again I only have OH and myself to think about this year - dogs have no expectations!
Rain, your Lydia looks such a beauty, how sad that she has gone. For those who remember Twinks, the stray kitten I found, it seems he is finally to get a home; he has been with a foster mum for a few months now and the dog rescue is having trouble rehoming the four cats that we acquired. I would so loved to have kept him but the dogs would not permit it.
Dont hold your breath re our tree, someone woke up grumpy this morning. Have also decided to add some more decorations & lamnetta to it- the control freak in me is surfacing again!
Walking up to Aldi next to get bananas & mushrooms- oops. Then will brave the baking of mincepies.... J.
Lovely trees everyone. Just How tall is your tree then Ice queen, Sorry can't remember your real name - is it Jean?
Beautiful tree PamLL and I love your outside decorations.
As for your packaging Gary - inspirational
I hope my tree will survive in its pot to be brought in each year, never tried it before.
Choco - angel
Started the cleaning - mostly bathroom and cloakroom - the rest has been done gradually and OH had been walking Around with a fluffy duster so that's probably been done He's vacuuming the stairs now ( Body won't let me!)
