I have done some digging. Couch grass and bindweed are my enemies and I was merciless! Unfortunately some strawberry plants had to go in the process, they were too intertwined.
Now for a nice cup of tea (and a custard cream or two...)
Lottie - we have twinned I'm having tea & custard creams too! However, just noticed on the wrapper of double pack "36 servings" - I think sharing one pack between 36 people would cause some trouble
Have replaced the majority of 'stuff' back into the cupboard. Some towels are past their best & we dont need them, so tip box for those. I darent get rid of anything reasonably decent though, as last time I was at 'the little house' noticed that some there-ours- could do with replacing. Weather permitting am going over again soon, so shall take some with me- can always bring back if not needed after all. OH even less storage space than normal there.
The last time OH did anything in the garden here, was to make me a raised bed several yrs ago & previously do the last lawn cut in '98 when I'd broken my arm! It's my garden & refuge, like the workshop/study is his! BTW planting bulbs when an arm in sling is not sensible! Didnt topple over, but oh so nearly. J.
Caz-cannot see any changes today-our request for extra smilies- doesn't seem to have got anywhere yet
Nola-just a toe dipping exercise-I know now what it is worth and the sales prospects-will need to make a decision at the end of the week whether to take the next step-very scary
More home baking going on?-have checked locker but the cupboard is bare
I must see to the the garden this week -now the frost has zapped most things
Kate might have been naughty and kept in after school?
Am surprised at what hasnt been zapped yet! Plan to get out there Thursday as looks the driest forecast. Old habits die hard, yrs of only having the odd free dry day to garden means that I prefer to get stuck in & spend as long as poss on one day out there rather than little & often. I get too messy!
Just had another thought...... I hope that they dont need to get at pipework in the 'airing' cupboard when they come again- that will not impress me.
Must try to keep OH from being noisy the next w/end he's back as daughter will be 'on nights' so sleeping. That means that the final tile removal will be the w/end before the next session from engineers.
Have just popped heating on as is going dark up here already, still wet, & was beginning to feel cold despite the extra layers. It is quite a learning curve with the settings, but think have got all the radiators ok for this time of year. Oh & the water temp was fine again this morning, so tough OH, out-voted! J.

The estate agent has been-(what do I do next? smiley)
What have I missed?
Been very hectic, no time to drop in. Have dutifully read all the posts
I missed-lots to catch up on.
Hope Kate is getting on with her new job.
Bjay-have saved the recipe, the muffins look lovely. I made a sticky toffee apple cake from Good Food for our bonfire tea. That was good too.
Estate agent, Geoff? Sunshine beckoning? Can see why-damp, dreary and cold here.
Lottie-I also have Bindweed as an enemy, good luck with the battle!

I've been recommended a film to watch for later, called 'Red Lights'. It's supposed to be about the paranormal
I hope to God it's not about a group of old prossies in dodgy areas!!
