Why didnt daughter & me go to Bodnant today? Weather forecast for tomorrow now awful! Wednesday better, but I have hospital appointment! So waterproofs & wellies/hiking boots to the ready. It may be better around the middle of the day, hope so.
Anyway went to GC & I got a replacement voucher- it is now at the side of my bed, along with all my appointments in chronological order & clipped together! I do not intend to misplace this one- still think original will turn up with OH's papers........
As usual we trot to the reduced section & the 50p lupin, showing a good bit of new growth, is now planted out! Copper ring around it too, as now have all the dahlias in the pots. I have already had to move one pot to other side of patio, which seems to allow it to start regrowing without further attack before I move it back to it's original position, where it gets attacked again....you get the jist.
Was horrified at the full price of perenials at the GC. Noway will I pay that! Have started a Tatton list, which although plants there have gone up in price over the years will still cost less per plant than at that GC. This is where I miss a little nursery/GC at Dad's village. Oh well, never mind. J.
Good luck with the lupin. I have totally given up on them after several unsuccessful attempts to ward off the slugs.
Expect Geoff is tucked up in bed by now ready for his early start. Keeping my fingers crossed for the weather.
I mow bits of grass that don't belong to me because it makes everything look much nicer. It is all open plan out the front so I tend to cut my elderly neighbour's lawn when I cut mine. I sometimes cut the other neighbour's lawn too when I'm feeling generous. Must admit that the housing association cut their bits very well. They take the grass away with them and you can even see stripes! Across the road from me is an open bit of grass with wavy rose beds. You can see where they have mowed around the beds and trees - it looks a bit like the lines on a japanese gravel garden.

The Chase was a repeat but have only come to it quite recently so haven't seen it before
Cody likes Watchdog of course,Bones, and Newshound with John Craven
I like The Chase, they get through plenty of questions, I cannot be doing with those shows that only do 6 questions in half an hour
Do you shout the answers out?-why do we do that?-they can't hear us
