Afternoon ladies and gents, loved all the recycling ideas. Which reminded me, last time I was on freecycle someone local had offered to give away vegetarian dog food because their dog didn't like it.
You do get people offering the most odd things, a single pair of Betty Boop socks was listed once, they would have looked very snazzy with your new laces Geoff
Have been doing shed clearout, have a submersible butt pump, electric garden shredder (blades need sharpening/replacing), 1 roll of green garden mesh(unopened), intact cover for 4 tier plasic greenhouse, old le creuset saucepan holder (wooden, takes 5 pans-which aren't included!), and 2 frisbees. They're going to be freecycled, but if there's anyone on here in the S Devon region, you can have first dibs.
Geoff - what would you trade the book in for? I'd hold out for the £1729...!
Just had a look at Flo's fungi pics. They are really nice photos, and there are some nice specimens there.
1) There's a whole genus of white ones with what they call funnel-shaped caps, Clitocybe, about 20 species in the group.
2) The tiny bracket ones probably one called Auricularia mesenterica.
3) Stripy orangey jobs - Psathyrella hydrophilia, or Inocybe assimilata, or Inocybe brunneorufa.
4) Velevety purple one - there aren't many purple mushrooms. It could be Russula atropurpurea, or Russula sardonia.
Interesting quote about the genus Russula "If we know of any one, who in the pride of intellect spurned all mental tasks as mere play, we would tame him by insisting on his mastering, classifying and explaining the genus Russula," Anna Maria Hussey, mycologist.
5) Pinky purple mini forest - could be Inocybe geophylla lilacina, described as lilac, hence lilacina.

I wonder what the asking rate is for old VHS tapes of Top of the Pops, featuring Saville and dolly birds. I once had several of those.
