Went out to feed the chickens this morning and found a dead mouse in the chicken feed bag! Poor little thing must have got stuck in the bag and not been able to get out. I'll have to store feed in a plastic box from now on.
I noticed we have mushrooms/toadstools growing in the lawn, its so soggy at the moment!
Finally have manged to get onto the forum and to you Forkers. Last night wouldn't let me on at all. Just caught up with the chat.
Loved the little cakes - wish i had some one to make them for
Did someone mention crocosmia 'Lucifer' would love some in front garden. Next years project I think
Still can't see hills. did have a brief visual of the lower parts yesterday. Damp, danl horrible.
Will try to get into garden later - another thread Obelixx says to give clematis a light dressing of bone meal. As have planted 15 this year will give it a go.
Not too dull up here & quite breezy so have some washing out & am waiting on 2cnd lot- then shall get outside, but by then shall probably need snack to keep me going etc etc.
Birthday cake cooling in tins & will have to ice it/sandwich it together later on. Looks ok, perhaps fear of that oven is going..... Daughter asleep, she was pleased with assortments of pressies & now understands about the tea caddy she found-oops- t'other week. Who didnt hide it quick enough then?
One of the impulse buy tops got t'other day just all wrong, so another trip back to TC to return it. All being well next week only 1 lot of kids on halfterm, but shall get there first thing this time.
Drat- peskly squirrels rattling the bird feeder again. If have chased him/it once this morning that would be enough, but more than once- phew. J.
£10 wont get you far Geoff, but perhaps you needs are minimal, my OH thinks I'm the bank, he only rarely goes to the hole in the wall, but always seems to think my money supply is endless, I wish.
bjay, I always give my clematis a dressing of sulphate of potash after I prune them in February, that seems to do the trick. 15 clematis will look great, I love them
Oscar (dog) is great at squirrel chasing and we have to find ways of talking about them without saying word. Even in evening if word squirrel is said he goes frantic. Hasn't caught one but did get a tail tip once.
Always wonder what he would do (or me) if he got one

I've given up cutting grass for this year. It's just too wet.
(Unless we get a late Indian Summer).
Also, path across my lawn is degenerating into mud, and would not wish to end up on my backside.
Geoff. - where is the postcard of, I can make out" Auditorium" but not where it is,ta muchly
Pleased we got our grass cut for the last time, just hope it doesn't grow much more
. It's actually brightened up a bit here.

Another grey day - where's the sunshine gone?
Offhand, it looks to me a little bit like Ocean Grove Auditorium in New Jersey, home of the largest organ in the world.
I cannot understand why people seem to have a thing about large organs.
But it's a lovely death. Like dying from overfeeding in a cake shop.
Morning all.
