He he, ours have emigrated then! We used to have 2 HUGE ones on the landing/hall ceiling. Totally out of reach, but you could hear them pattering around sometimes!! Only a 'baby' one around at the mo.
Becks- Alpine strawberries from seed is the best way & they'll also grow in poorer soils & part shade. I ate a couple of beauties this afternoon- think the birds must've dropped some sneaked seed coz i didnt plant any at the edge of a flower bed! Yum.
Have dug up my strawberry plants, kept a couple of small ones & shall do in pots next yr. I needed the space on the veg bed & they never did brilliantly. Plus we do have a good fruit farm not too far way.
Well done on the sunflowers too. Am sooo jealous- ALL of 12-13 plants got totally eaten this yr. Some neighbours have HUGE ones. 3 houses down the road must have a chaqllenge to see who gets the biggest!
I've done the ironing, but not made the birthday cake. Decided to do that first thing tomorrow, before I get outside. J.
