Becks- plonk said pineapple on its' base, on a large plate or chopping board. Grab decent knife & cut the outer bits away, vertically. Then you'll have the central core surrounded by nice flesh. Just cut the flesh away from the core, which is solid usually, & chop the flesh into chunks. Simples. Oh yes cut off the top first- J.
Interestingly I also got the dog one wrong and the population, but they are already arguing about that as it is an unknown quantity. I think I also got a lot of things wrong before the 1900's.
Becks ignore Geoff I am sure that you are brilliant with a knife.
Wow, a lot of catching up after just an afternoon away. Thank you Pam for the news about the cutting. Becks, having said I'm not a fussy eater, I really don't like pineapple so I'd chop it into tiny chunks and feed it to the worms. Don't like prawns either. Once went to a wedding meal that had one or the other in every course.
Weather not bad in Huddersfield, but raining went I got home. Colours are now changing on the moors, they will look wonderful soon.
Becks, we buy lots of pineaples when they are on offer. My sister brought me a dehydrator from Canada and I slice them and dry them, lovely - sweet and chewy. We use one of these from Lakeland Plastics:
