  • I like that word, cyberetically. But I expect someone will borrow it soon. I heard podium being used  as a verb (she will podium) on the radio not long after we had invented it on here.

I agree with Kate, chocolate is only for sharing when bought by someone else. Cake can be shared.

  • There are many products similar to that 'grow a rose' available at Amazon, prices on Amazon are around £10 upwards.

The one on E-bay is £1.99. They've sold quite a few.

If you are buying a rose as a present for someone special, I'm not sure that forking out £1.99 counts as that special.

OK for a suitor trying to economise, I suppose. Perhaps accompanied by a 6p stick of Cadbury's flake.

  • Ah but Gary, its the thought that counts!

Thought it was a joke Gary - Roses can't be multi-coloured can they ? They claim it's something to do with the watering technique .

It explains about splitting the stem and allowing each section to take up a differently-coloured liquid. Perhaps not as easy as it sounds. We used to do junior science experiments at school with carnations and celery but only one colour per item.

Weird. Never heard about that before.

Think I may join e-bay. There are loads of seeds and plants on there . Remember Becks posting to say she got some seeds from e- bay. There is also some very strange stuff.

I got rose seeds Jean. Black and Blue. I did see the multicoloured roses, but after a bit of research, it seems that they have to be injected with coloured dye at various stages of stem growth. Pretty as they are, seemed a lot of hassle to me. image

  • Evening all, what a busy day you've had, conversationally speaking that is.

Kate, unfortunately not, it was 1944 and a borrowed dress. I do have 2 big golf umbrellas (not used for golf though), so I could practise with one in each hand, Geoff.

I've had one of those days today. When I've busy all day, but don't seem to have achieved a lot.

Looking forward to the baking tonight, but have to get through the football first!
  • Good Evening all!

A varied topic of conversation is being had!

From Witchcraft to Choclate (alway's the forefront) Shed's, Chickens, Cake, Multi-coloured rose's, more cake! kittens, Oh! n Bill Oddie!! You lot never seem to amaze me!

I myself have spent an half day at the allotment, clearing bed's in readiness for the onslaught of winter, n half a day in my own back yard! Would post pictures, but the site still not playing ball!

There are some good suppliers on e-bay providing you read the feedback before parting with money-bought seeds earlier in the year

I expect to see Glyn floating past my window before it gets dark

I have many days when I do nothing but achieve a lot

Dean you can still post pictures from photobucket-which information I seem to have repeated a multitude of timesimage
