Hahaha Dean - I'll have to agree with you on that one. Those heels are far too high for gardening - she needs a sensible pair of wellies ! imageimageimage

Becks and Flo you'ld be surprised at what I have stored on my laptop ! image

Pam - your cuttings are amazing - I need lessons .

Kate - the ox eye daisies have been planted under the tree. Just come in now and had a shower , the weather has been lovely. All babies planted.

  • Evening all, just back from a lovely afternoon at Arley Hall in Cheshire, gardens and particularly herbaceous borders were looking wonderful. Sat and watched the swallows swooping around the walled garden in the sunshine. Nice lunch and perfect appe pie and cream. Forgot the camera!

Kate - I haven't taken cuttings of  the Cuphea  Tiny Mice plant but I don't see why you can't - have a go - they have two chances image

Thankyou for the recipe Lottie - I will try it tomorrow image

Jean - not all my cuttings succeed but they are well worth the try image I would never be able to be so OTT with my front garden if I had to buy all the plants image

    Oooh, Jean, sounds intriguing!

Inkadog, very fetching outfit ;- )

Glyn, sounds a fab. outing. I am entertaining my 9 year old niece for two days so no chance of visiting gardens or watching swooping swallows for long.

Cat news. There is none. No phone calls. Twink has become more adventurous today. I've found a good way to clean behind furniture, especially when there are lots of cables there. You just have to brush the cobwebs off the kitten when he emerges!!

Spike heels work a treat aerating the lawn. And it gives the neighbours something to gossip about.

  • I would ring vets or pet shops if I had lost my kitten, perhaps it was meant to be lost, poor thing.

Got to make the most of my last week of holidays Flo.

    Inkadog - I am now picturing you aerating the lawn :- D :- D

Sadly, Jean, I cannot keep little Twink as I have three dogs, two of whom would eat him. He's living in OH's 'den' and has to be confined to a large dog-cage when we're not keeping him company. Luckily, being so young, he wears himself out and sleeps a lot. It's 4 days now. I've told the vets, Cats Protection and I've put up a few posters in nearby roads. I can hang on for a few more days but he'll have to go to a rehoming centre. I'll miss him, though.
