Becks, not just a cream egg lover, but just ate a bag of raspberry ruffles!

Heaven. Jess asleep and big one retired to her room. Mummy Time! image

Well, he told me off for using a rectangle recycling bin with a pane of glass over the top, calling it 'Very Dodgy' so I just acted dumb! image

I'm all for creative solutions, shows a bit of blue sky thinking (I hate that phrase, don't know why I used it). Will he make the cold frame as well as providing the where with all?

Well, I'd rather he didn't, but it's going to be a challenge. Two control freaks who both think they know best!! Me and my Dad are very similar, and very competitive!! It may be a youtube moment!! image

Morning all , not a bad day here . We're off visiting today over Yorkshire way so big long journey . Setting off about 10 so enough time for several more coffees.

Becks, that was a nice surprise for you - bet Jess enjoyed herself.

Glyn - I'm hoping and praying that we don't get frost . Do you think they could mean Scotland ? Poor Jenny. Wonder where she's got to ?

There is a post from someone from Afghanistan - I'ld love to be able to help. Maybe we could all get our thinking caps on.

    Good morning.
Promising sunny start, hope it lasts as I'm at an all day outdoor 'fun day' today. Enjoy your day, forker-folk, whatever you decide to do.

Morning, was hoping for an early start in the garden today, but still wet here.

I' m hoping I misheard Jean, it's far too early for frost. A trip to Yorkshire sounds good, we are right on the Yorkshire border here, so often for a day out. enjoy!

I responded to Budgeio in Afghanistan, but not sure how much help I was, must be a really difficult environment. I bet some of our gardeners will come up with some ideas.

A 'fun day' Flo? That sounds as though it might be very active! Good luck!

Good morning Penninepetal image  We've had heavy rain here all night, but probably because I gave the veg patch a good soaking yesterday evening with the hosepipe as I was worried about the beans and sweetcorn - typical, I'll have to pay the water company for the water that I didn't need to use!  No waterbutts at the moment as the builders are replacing the downpipes and guttering etc.

I've responded to Budgeio as well, all I could think of was mesembryanthemums - and suggested that he/she looks to see what the locals are growing.  Doesn't sound like an easy environment, in any sense of the word image
