Hi Pam - just going for the bank holiday weekend and will be staying near Newquay. Am expecting traffic jams! I'd like to go to Heligan and OH wants to go to the Eden Project but I don't think there's time on this trip to do both.
I will pop in for a cup of tea and a cream scone if that's alright then Dan! Am going to Newquay as my brother lives there (but his place is tiny so we can't stay with him).
Lottie - if you can only do one of Heligan or Eden I'd go for Heligan. The Biodomes at Eden are amazing but based on a whole day I enjoyed Heligan much more.
Lottie, Leggi's right, go to Heligan, it's magical, especially if you like veg gardens.
We went to the Eden Project about 2 years after it opened, and was a bit disappointed, but it must have matured by now.
We are looking for a caravan site in the Midhurst/ South Downs/Chicester area so if anyone knows of one I would be grateful for any info, and as you say, the price is quite high especially in the south.
