I came across another example of FOUR CANDLES, just yesterday.It was in a book about dream interpretation. It was part of a vision, in a dream, experienced by a woman, which she then painted...
The explanation of the dream was that they were lighting the way to some form of expansion of consciousness.

Just been discussing camp sites with OH - he is shocked at the prices (could have gone to Port Grimaud for that much!!) Maybe Dan or Kate's parents won't mind a tent in their garden.....
