Is that a double, king size or four-poster Gary? Any way Good evening folk, been scorchio here in Lincoln today, although it has now cooled down a bit.
As promised a few photos of the flower festival at Lincoln Cathedral, that I visited on Thursday.
Replica of Edward the Confessors Chair made for the film The De Vinci Code, and used in The Young Victoria.
The Winners Podium
.
London 2012, sorry couldn't get it all in due to lots of people being around,
Gold Medal flowers nr High Altar.
Horse and Chariot made put of card, how,s that for origami, there were 3 more horses in front of this, wonderful.
And lastly the one representing the Gymnasts. Just a taste of the many displays at the Cathedral. If any of you live in the area and have a chance to visit, it is well worth it.
We had a really good day out, but boy was it tiring. The skill of the flower arrangers is awesome, they put on a really good display, over 130 different arrangement, the colours and the scents were intoxicating.
Where in France are you going Geoff?. We had a 10 days in Belgium and France in April, atrocious weather, hope the sun shines for you.
Sorry that the quality of the photos is not good, they seem to lose something when you scale them down
Kate-that has come to fruition well-you must be pleased with it I can see the lobelia, and fire and ice and arabian night dahlias,a lupin................
Jean they are dahlias, it is normally so dry here that slugs are not my biggest problem.
Gary can I have a square pond?
Leggi I am afraid I am a cornish MU fan, it is very hard to support a local team when there is none, but I have moved around a lot so I have quite a collection of teams, including Spurs and Bristol Rovers plus WHU for OH.
Chris-the great getaway start next Friday afternnon-we are heading for Argeles the other side of Perpignan-two over night stops- a visit to Carcasonne-14 days in the sun-then a long, long drive to Amsterdam on the return journey
Well Asda boy was the best-the girl at the end was ok till we got the sob story-I wish people would not say that dead relatives are looking down on them are with them-just do not like it.
Nice spat and stomping out and the usual sadly delusioned-also Loius saying it is not just about the voice
