Gary I picked up lots of good tips off the old forum that I have used this year. Someone pointed out that next door 's Russian vine would be a great hiding place for the snails and that is where I have the biggest problems.
Kate, I would love to give in & snooze, but keep pootling around t'net instead! No cake in the house, have eaten the last biscuit & resisted the stash of Milka under my bed!
Have been checking out predicted temps for Austria. OH is going to have kittens if it doesnt cool down a bit before we go. Also if the temp rises here, will daughter cope with looking after all my 'babies' out there & in greenhouse?
The snails love the fence, the ivy, the front wall, in fact anywhere around my garden. I've even had slugs eating my almost ripe tomatoes in the greenhouse!! After this year I shall seriously consider using Nemaslug again next. Have used it in the past & ok it doesnt get the snails, but at least I get to keep some plants! J.
Hello forkers. Have finally got the last of the wretched woodchip painted ceiling paper off. Can't believe how much activity on the thread while I've been slaving away up a ladder with a steamer and a scraper. Going over ita ll again to scrub off the residual sticky brown stuff is not at appealing - and definitely not today!
I need snooze and cake but dogs haven't had a walk today.
