Jessica Ennis (or someone very like her) has already appeared on one of the Strictly specials events, maybe it was Sports Relief. Sports people are often keen, and some have time on their hands in the Autumn.
"Q: Have you thought about what you might do after athletics? Could you see yourself on something like Strictly Come Dancing?
A: Yeah, definitely! I absolutely love it and I'd love to go on, but I think if I was actually asked to go on I'd be really scared because it looks pretty tough! But I absolutely love that programme, it's brilliant, so if any opportunities like that came around in the future I'd definitely grab them."
Ha Ltg - Just dug out Pink Floyd cd s. Been humming '' Wish you where here '' all morning so am now re-living my youth. Went to see them years ago . Those were the days !! May play ''The wall '' next. Ouietly of course - don't want the neighbours thinking I've lost the plot.
Been out watering pots with can in one hand and fly swatter in other. There are all manner of strange flying things out there. Very humid here .
I've not actually watched the closing bash yet- ended up hitting the 'record' button as knew couldnt last out till the end. OH leaves at a disgustingly early hour on a monday & daughter was also muttering about an early start, so I gave up!
Busy w/end doing paperwork with OH, watching as much sport as I could & actually having a good picnic out yesterday & doing a couple of good walks around Styal estate before the rain arrived.
Already have done various tasks here, none garden related, & am wondering if I got the washing back inside too soon as it's brightening up again...... J.
Hollie - I've just notched it up . I get on really well with neighbours either side and we're detatched so don't think they'll mind ! Found Pulse so happy days !
Have just spent 15 minutes on curtain twitching duty-the estate agent turned up then a young couple to look at catman's house-they have passed my preliiminary inspection -did not stay long and only glanced at back garden-not sure if the length of stay is good or bad.

Morning peeps.
Busy day today, and none of it involves gardening.
Must admit, I did enjoy the Spice Girls, but then I liked them when they were around.
Hope you all have a fab day. No rain here yet, but no sun either.
Catch you later. x

A couple of years ago, before the Commonwealth Games, Jessica Ennis was asked, in a sports interview (http://www.classicsportsseries.com/bob/golden_girl/news), what she thought about the program:
