Delighted that tiny Taekwondo girl won her late night G.

She's only 5'1, and her opponent was 5'9. Before the match I was wondering how it's even possible for such a small person to kick the head of such a tall one. Her opponent was Japanese too. How can a midget from Wales beat a Taekwondo champion from Japan. They invented it. She was brilliant.

Young girls picking up gold medals seems to be quite a theme (plus double-G Trotty a few days ago). I can imagine it inspiring a generation - of fighting women. Scary.

Action seems to be winding down today.

Taekwondo girl's team mate, Sarah Stevenson, in a heavier weight category, makes her bid today (first fight 10.30am... final at 10.15pm, if she makes it). Before the games she'd been considered a better medal prospect than Jade Jones.

Pundits are tipping a medal in women's sailing, and maybe podiuming in women's hockey.

Some very light entertainment this afternoon in the form of rhythmic gymnastics and synchronised swimming. Tom Daley in heats tonight.

Some very short-lived excitement on the athletics track tonight with men and women's relay finals. Jamaica expected to win. USA & GB expected to drop batons.

The sailing situation is that we are already guaranteed 2 silvers by the end of the day. Best chance for golding seems to lie with the women's crew.

Glyn, that's perfect. And I like tulips too - proper ones rather than blowsy frillies.

Jean, Geoff is i/c sourcing horseys so we''l have to wait til he's finished spoiling a nice walk.

Kneeling up in small wobbly boats this morning and leaning over to one side a lot - they must spend a fortune on osteopaths and suchlike. Gary, are we guaranteed wind?
