Morning all. Lots of snow here too. Still coming down. Happy retirement Derek.
Want to make some soup too. Will have to be something fairly quick as I don't know what time man is coming to fit cooker. Don't want him to burn himself on a hot cooker.
Need to go get some new shoes for start of job on Monday. Hope it stops snowing!
About an inch of snow over night , windy still so blowing it around , due more as seems the east will get it now , being further east we missed the Cumbrian snow yesterday.
Happy retirement Derek
OH working all weekend I'd say so bed stripped and in washer , some cleaning up, log stacking required by fire, then I think il do office work .
Ooh along with Mr Pheasant we have a couple of curlews wandering the field this morning , they must be finding it tough too
Grey, cold and windy here - and the weather's similar. At least the rain has finally stopped, though we have a Flood Alert now. The roads were terrible yesterday.
Having a cup of tea and psyching myself up to go and spend, spend, spend in That Taunton.
We have about a foot or so, but winds still whipping it around. They say another 6" on the Pennines today. Keeping my curtains shut at the front of the house as the wind comes straight off the field. No double glazing there as listed building, the back has it though as the renovators changed the windows.
I hope nobody gets lost in those snowdrifts - take care out there. I suspect that not much gardening will be going on today. My allotment will be far too wet to get on today - it's right by the river and the pumping station.
Making porridge for breakfast. Will somebody keep a lookout for those pesky bears, please?
Bunny. Yes go faster stripes and blue lights! ! . Couple who were off to get married went up there yesterday and had to be rescued by army! Somewhere near Penrith. Not a good start.
Morning Geoff and everyone else just rising.
Thinking about driving into town but I don't think I will be able to get car out. Might just have to use wellies! ! Ordered a printer to collect from Argos today. So will have to go get it!

Happy retirement, Derek. You'll feel strange on Monday morning when you wake up and realise, OMG I don't have to get up!
