I've never put anything on our burner top .... Did some toast once off the flames when had no power we have oil heating although dont run it that much as doors always open /close/open / . ....and burner but solar for water when sunny ...sunny ...what is sun ?
I was mentioned by Monty on a GW programme once. Was so amazed, yelled, made dog go silly and didn't hear what he said
Told son, friends etc and they watched on iplayer, same reaction, even though they were expecting it. Had to watch it several times then gave up and looked the answer up in a book

I just prune out any dead wood in Spring and usually get a good crop
