    Morning all.

I can just about walk & bend after a session yesterday in daughter's garden, even when it rained! Her wheely bin is full again! The back garden really is a soggy/wet situation. She has a new pond & a stream on 2 sides now. image No not dug by me, just what happens when it rains .The clay soil is really clay & here was me hoping it was just the subsoil- no such luck. Oh well, a lot of growing in patio pots this yr I think, whilst we continue to access the state of things. At least 1 of her bird boxes appears to be occupied now.image

OH is in the doghouse- but I dont think he knows it yet. Somehow the hole for a rotary washing line ended up blocked with whatever you have to put down it to secure the support in place. Now that blockage removed, but hole now too wide, no 'tube' to hold support, as in pieces, & dryer obviously not being held securely in place..... image Daughter muttering about 'wouldnt have bothered buying one if I'd known he was going to make a such a * up!!'

I then had to teach her about curtain hanging. Oh no, Mum's way wasnt what it said on packet. So she tried 'the correct way' & ended up doing it my way after all. image Couldnt bend properly to put the hooks in place when curtains spread out on bed, so that led to a row! Apparently they are now all up & I have a video somehwere on line to see the end result.

I shall abandon plans for my seed sowing today as OH & me need to do some joint paperwork which is long overdue. Tomorrow is another day. J.

Bunny I used to like Miranda, but somehow just couldnt get on with latest show. Mrs B, have tried, but not really 'me' so now dont bother.

Daughter just phoned to say she's feeding OH, so that paperwork unlikely to get done again..... The curtain rail in her bedroom dislikes the weight of new curtains & has come away from wall. Sounds as if they are going to Dunelm or B&Q (both near to one another)after all. IMO the rails she inherited werent fit for purpose, so gradually replacing them makes sense. Especially since she now has heavier curtains up all round. Oh the joys of home ownership! image J.

Some Hellebore I ordered arrived. Not sure if I should risk planting them outside. Think I may pot up and keep inside for a few weeks. My son complains that there is no room in the kitchen to cook as the plants are taking over!!

Bev, they are very hardy, but coz they've been in-transit, I'd tuck the pot next to a wall outside for a while. No need to use more indoor space.

Bunny yes the curtains....image I need to get our elderly velvet (!) ones down, cut out all the rotted linings- next time Jo get blinds for such sunny aspect windows & not integral linings. Then need to rehang with new thermal linings, which need to buy. I know that our rails not brill in this lounge, but do have plenty of suitable hooks just in case. Daughter has said she'll help when the time comes. Since I did intend to do this a couple of yrs ago, somehow it wont be soon. I do need to do something before next winter though.

Right, I think some seeds may get sown after all. Byee, J.
