Back from fishing- a bit of a waste of time -they were in the pond he was getting rid off but pump not working- full of silt-managed to catch two who are now happliy swimming in the tank-might go back another day
Been clothes shopping - yuk! Didn't find any shoes (I have wide feet) which is ironic as it's Clarks Village. Mind you, I have never found any shoes to fit me there - I'll have to go back to my favourite proper shoe shop in Crewkerne again.
Sleeting here and bitterly cold. Saw ickle lambs in the fields but the poor things looked frozen and were huddled under the hedge banks.
Bought lots of seeds very cheap in Lidl's, also some bird netting for £5. They still had fruit trees for £3.99 (I think) but I didn't buy one. Bought chocolate......
Weird, clothes shopping on Sunday. In France shops are shut on Sundays, except the odd small supermarket in the morning. GCs are open (some) but shut for lunch.
12 for lunch today, all gone now, dishwasher on. Now feel knackered, it would have been a good gardening day, 14° sun and cloud.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Will investigate those Gardenias Dean - quite fancy one.
Good bargain hunting Goldi - Aldi also have cheap seeds - 39p. Got some Nigella . . On the choc front just found a Toblerone dessert in the bowels of the freezer so will be getting stuck in later.
Been to do my duty and seen M. Took her a new skirt, seemed far more practical than chocos she'd forget to eat or flowers that would die in a day as it's so warm. Bitterly cold and every now and again snow flakes appear but then don't stay - must go on to the levels

Jean, I'm in SW France but you proably know that by now. It can be very cold too.
I had one of those Gardenias - house warming present - alas it did not survive but have been tempted to try again now we are not so chaotic
Liz . yes - know you are in France but always thought weather was similar to UK apart from the South. I'm jealous - want to come and stay.
Think this cold weather is having an effect on my appetite.
Roast beef with all the trimmings
followed by that rather nice dessert.
Can't wait - trying to stop myself from having a snack.
Butterscotch instant whip?
Should I name them Jean?-what about grilled and fried??
Can you remember days before 24/7 shopping-how did we cope?
