Kate, no postal invites have gone out yet - my friend who is making them hasn't finished them yet! So don't worry.

Don't know how old the creme egg is but its probably been there in the salad drawer since Easter. I intend to eat it today - am sure chocolate has a long shelf life.

Jo lovely to hear from you, and thank you for the birthday greetings. Enjoy your meal - you deserve all the treats you can get!

    Geoff, did you have nightmares?

Kate, sounds appropriate - I haven't sorted anything to wear yet!

Dress code is casual - whatever you feel comfortable in but NO speedos or sandals with socks! Flip flops are ok.

There will be balloons and bunting.

Oooh, I hope there's royalty - I've never met any.

That is, assuming I'm invited? Pretty please?

Never mind balloons and bunting, we need to know if there will be a BBQ? I can just imagine Prince Charles turning the burgersimage

Do you think he'd have one of those aprons printed with an armour design?

Pig= pork, cow= beef, deer = venison sheep = mutton comes from the language changes dating from the Norman invasion. Porque, boeuf mouton and venaison (last French for edible meat of deer.) Chicken wasn't considered to be meat. Girly swot signing off and going back to her garden.
