Thank-you for the kind comments. I adapted a pattern for a ladybird! Happy to share with any knitters out there.

I made Beetroot Chocolate Brownies a while ago. They weren't bad, a beetrooty, if anything ;- )

Lottie, the salad was triffic! Instead of the egg component I did some cream cheese mixed with toasted hazelnuts. I've seen beetroot and goats cheese in recipes but don't have a goat handy.

Off out to see local theatre/singy group tonight. Musicals not totally my 'thing' but beats the current telly offerings by a lot.

Flo if you have a pre written pattern I would loveit, but please do not go to the effort of writing one.

Geoff why are you not watching footy? GW?

I planted up MIL's fuchsias and now OH says he will not be able to deliver them as the torch is there tomorrowimage

I am looking forward to meeting Lottie image I haven't a clue what she looks like so hope she introduces herself image

We have been very busy trying to make the garden look reasonable but I must say it has been a horrid gardening year image Most of my pots of Lilies succumbed to that Lily leaf disease and it did affect the flowers as well ,my Cues have the measles(powdery mildew) which has been sprayed with milk, some peppers and chillies still look awful and plants that should be in flower by now aren't image This week

I have made 2 Lemon Drizzle cakes,2 Choccie cakes,2 Apple cakes and 2 Coffee and Walnut cakes - they are in the freezer and tomorrow I will be making 2 Victoria sponges,36 Cup cakes and 4 dozen scones image My DIL's Mum is making a Choccie cake and a Coffee and Walnut cake for me,too  - just hope our visitors want tea and cake image All the proceeds from the Teas will be going to a small charity called Breakaway-visits - my urostomy nurse told me about them image

Pam I am sure that it still looks fab and all gardeners love  a cake.

Geoff our cross country had a short cut, you just had to hide under the railway bridge and give the front runners a 10 minute head start.image

    GB are losing 0-2

I like the sound of a beetroot chutneyimage

It is trying to be sunny here, some of my borders are like bogs so will they be cement by next week. I may need to buy a pick axe.
