Kate-I have started packing things ready for the big move for when the numbers come up-please do not let me down this time-too many false dawns is keeping me awake at night

Jo -when are you going to find time to eat all this jam-perhaps you should start a business-are we going to see some Tatton pictures?

  • jo4eyesjo4eyes Posts: 2,058

I've not even seen the Tatton pictures yet! Now you do know that am a complete duffer where computers are concerned, so honestly doubt if OH's pictures will get a public viewing.

I thought that the squirrel had really been eating the birdfood, as the level was getting rather low again, but after watching the birds visiting the feeder I now think that they are getting the majority. Need to find outdoor shoes, steps & food to refill it. Compost bin trip also needed. J.

I am presuming Kate will be sharing her god fortune so I shall be packing as well shortly. Oh no, just scratched my face without thinking! Its now really itchy again.

Jo, I am going to put a bird seed feeder up in the garden - will see what happens. My favourite jam is strawberry by the way but any variety will do!

I harvested 3 lovely beetroots at the plot today - so will have to have them over the weekend. My potato crop is disappointing as some of the plants have rotted. Some are doing ok so all is not lost but I feel I might have to relinquish my crown as potato queen image

Before you abdicate potato queen -I have a question -the haulms on my earlies are still greenish the haulms on the maincrop are already going yellow-is this normal?

I sat outside yesterday and something bit meimage

Do we have to wait 3 months for jam delivery? Can you make beetroot jam?

If 'arry goes to Russia I might buy his place on Sandbanks- she won't want to rattle around it on her own when a gulag is beckoning-when and how will we know about the big win?

Any bright suggestions for nice things to do with beetroot? - other than roasting cos I already do that.

Suggest Lympic sheep are swapped for something nocturnal - I can offer a hedgehog or two and next door has a visiting badger.

Geoff, what bit you? I'm imagining a grumpy camel.

I'm currently knitting hedgehogs should anyone ask. Quick break for cupoftea. It's probably stewed by now.

Oh Flo how do you knit a hedgehog?????

Geoff if we win you will hear the shrieking through the cables.
