I think Sybil will be allright, but I am not sure about the peacock ... euthanasia comes to mind.

How come you have a peacock in your garden? -sounds very stately

I have managed 2 hours in the garden, wellies were needed but no mac, it is paining now. It is a good time to plant out when it is about to rain, I am still composting seedlingsimage

@smallswan I am very curious about the peacock?

Good news my dads dahlias arrived but where are my plug plants?

Have they still not turned up-have you contacted them?

We had a heavy rain spell but has stopped now-not warm outimage

Well it's like this you see: 20 years ago we felt sorry for a peacock and two peahens who were being kept in a shed on an allotment in Frome.  So we adopted them, thinking that they would like some space.  They did: but now there is only the peacock (called Kevin) and he likes the garden best.  I don't know how long they live but I fear it may be a very long time ...

Then you only have yourself to blame-where does Kevin sleep-at the end of the bed?

  • smallswansmallswan Posts: 86

Not: he has a roost in a barn to keep him out of the rain.  Actually I have OH to blame, so I do, frequently.
