I re-use the potato bags and a mix of MP compost and own works. I also use giant cheap pots, and keep them, like Dean said, on the path. Ssend you photo later
I did mine last year in one of those old, rectangle plastic recycling tubs, and morrisons plant buckets (That they gave me free from the petrol station when I asked). Worked a treat! Never got many spuds in the buckets, but enough for a meal out of each for me and Jess.
Bunny, I agree - there are so many varieties of potato and, for me, very few that I really like. If you have room for them, the best thing is to look for a mix where you get a few of several varieties. After a few seasons, you'll soon find the ones that suit you best.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
Hi Bob! Couldn't agree more Buddy! I swear by "Charlotte" for salad! n still have a good half sack of "Golden Wonder" hung in the allotment shed which are still good, n as Beck's say's, if they provide a meal! "It's a good job done"
Evening all - hope you're all playing nicely. I haven't sown anything yet but have lots and lots of lovely clean pots stacked up now . Are you all having a romantic Valentine's day? I had 3 cards one from Amber (sponor dog at Dogs Trust), one from Archie (dog recently on his holidays with us) and a home-made one from OH
